The GET is an electro-folk trio founded by singer-songwriter and guitarist George Elizondo.

The band also includes Chris Beroes-Haigis (cello, FX) and Violeta Del Rio (vocals, keyboards, drum machine, FX). Together, the band incorporates elements of electro-folk, art rock, and post-punk and combines acoustic instruments with an electronic palette of sounds.

Elizondo’s Nicaraguan and Cuban heritage is evident in his songwriting, which is crafted in both English and Spanish. Influences such as Cuban singer-songwriter Silvio Rodriguez and Nicaraguan composer Justo Santos impacted him during his upbringing. Nevertheless, The GET draws from a diverse array of influences, including Gustavo Cerati, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Radiohead, Juana Molina, Sybille Baier, and James Blake.

The GET is releasing their debut album in the fall of 2025.

“(…) the different musical backgrounds of all its members, make thoughtful and unpredictable songs snapped together by sudden flourishes of technicality and creative arrangements. As a result, Biglemoi brings to the table a healthy mix of styles with the best rock and roll ingredients.”

From an early age, she received a very diverse education. She first studied classical music in Madrid and New York under the tutelage of the renowned pianists Noemí Novara and Sophia Rosoff, who deeply influenced her pianistic spirit. During her years in Madrid, she also studied Journalism at the Complutense University, driven by her passion for writing and self-expression. During those years, she also performed in the theater company Idílica Teatro, as well as working as a producer. Her curiosity for different artistic disciplines led her to collaborate with visual artists and study dance for ten years, both of which had a significant impact on her multidisciplinary vocation. Always eager to expand her knowledge, Vivi del Río studied flamenco music with the great pianist Diego Amador, who greatly expanded her expressive possibilities. Later, she moved to New Orleans, where she has spent the last few years exploring the vibrant musical and artistic tradition of a city full of life and color. In this city, she co-founded Bubble Bath Records, an independent label that operated until 2020 with the sole purpose of supporting original and creative music beyond any specific style or genre.

Throughout her career, she has collaborated with a wide variety of artists such as Jordan Prince, Ted Joyner of The Generationals, producer and singer Jamison Ross, choreographer Diogo de Lima, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, drummer and producer Jamison Ross, and jazz singer Cindy Scott, among others. Vivi del Río has performed on international stages in cities such as New York, New Orleans, Austin, Madrid, Berlin, Munich, and Paris. Her original projects include the alternative rock band Biglemoi, with two released EPs, and since 2024, the electro-folk trio The GET, an electro-folk trio that combines acoustic instruments with electronic sounds.

Currently, Vivi del Río is an active part of the music scene in New Orleans and is preparing the debut album of The GET, in addition to her solo project. Both will be released in early 2026.
